Why I use TablePlus as my daily control center.
Opening
Most people live in browsers.
Developers live in databases.
When you’re building systems, databases stop being “backend”.
They become your workspace.
This is where I spend a good part of my day.

The Tool
I use TablePlus.
Not because it has the most features.
But because it gets out of the way.
Fast.
Clean UI.
Multiple connections.
No unnecessary complexity.
It feels intentional.

How I Use It
- Managing PostgreSQL for Django projects
- Reviewing financial data structures
- Running quick queries
- Testing migrations
- Inspecting relationships before pushing to production
I don’t treat it as a database viewer.
I treat it as a control panel.
Why It Fits My Workflow
Minimal interface.
Keyboard-first navigation.
No clutter.
It matches how I think about systems:
Structured. Clear. Predictable.
Final Note
Tools should disappear while you work.
If you notice the tool too much, it’s probably wrong.
TablePlus lets me focus on structure.
And that’s where real building happens.
